One cracked tile shouldn’t mean a new floor
Tile goes out of production. By the time one piece cracks, the exact tile is often impossible to find, and the easy answer from a contractor is to replace the whole floor so everything matches.
Mike repairs cracked and chipped tiles where they sit, and fixes damaged grout without disturbing the tile around it. You keep the floor you have.

Repair questions
Can a cracked tile be fixed without replacing it?
Many can. Hairline cracks and chips can often be repaired in place. A tile that’s broken through, loose or moving underfoot may need to come out. Send Mike a photo and he’ll tell you which you have.
Will the repair show?
Mike blends each repair to match the tile as closely as he can. On some tiles, especially glossy or patterned ones, you may still see it up close. He’ll tell you honestly at the estimate what to expect.
What causes tiles to crack?
Usually something heavy was dropped on it, the floor or slab underneath has moved, or there’s a hollow spot where the tile wasn’t fully set in its mortar. If several tiles are cracking in a line, the cause may be under the tile, and Mike will tell you if he sees signs of it.
Should I repair a few spots or regrout everything?
If the damage is in a few spots, repairing just those areas is faster and costs less. If grout is failing across a whole shower or floor, a full regrout makes more sense. Mike will recommend the smaller job when it will do.
Can you replace just one tile?
Yes. If a tile can’t be repaired and you have a spare from the original job, Mike can replace just that one.
